Jewels Artisan Chocolate at Orchard Central is designed by Nota Design International pet Ltd in an uptown shopping mall in Singapore. With varied use of geometric forms morphed into trapezoidal facades, this island chocolate boutique has unique display counters that are specifically designed using marble with a flame finish. Each of the display section has artisan chocolates, where the shoppers can view the making and savour the sight of the varied chocolate creations. Besides the seating and display stands, there is a see-through work area, which reveals the kitchen along with a display gallery.
The use of marble for display counters in morphed geometric forms draws attention from the shoppers who can enjoy these delicacies being made through the open glazed kitchen. As a stand-alone island unit, the chocolate boutique has a café kiosk with a few informal seating arrangements, where shoppers can view and taste the artisan chocolate. The entire chocolate boutique is designed under a black steel powder coated roof with morphed display units in marble.
Besides the display unit and seating arrangements, the service station on the inside is designed to have all the amenities that are needed to make the chocolate. There are deep freezer and blast chiller along with a work counter and display area for the staff with stainless steel shelving units. A lot of these units are compact and easy to move around, thus making more space available in the work area. The chocolate boutique along with the café and display stands makes a unique trio for marketing the brand and décor, as well. On the whole, a creative design idea using morphed geometric forms, the use of black and brown colours on the walls and floor tiles along with the informal seating create a better ambience for the shoppers although, it is an island display store.
